8 Questions Worth Asking

Covid has changed our lives, wait who are we kidding 2020 has changed our lives, from the virus, to the riots and political and spiritual division the changes from 2020 are everywhere.
The area that I feel has changed the most drastically is the area of gathering together for worship (probably similar to many of you) Not being able to attend church in person, no matter how hard our pastors tried online services pale in comparison to gathering together in person.

With that in mind my husband and I have found that asking each other the following questions at the end of the day helps to keep us on track and productive.

1. What did I read in God’s word today?
Being in the word is essential, don’t allow mediocrity to creep in just because of circumstances beyond your control.

2. Who am I checking in on?
Call,Text,Email,Video Call or even write an old fashion letter. Doing this allows us to be outward focused instead of focusing on ourselves.

3. How am I being helpful to Someone?
It could be dropping of groceries, or helping a spouse, child, or co-worker but again this gets us outside of our bubble.

4. How am I being productive?
If your stuck at home being productive can be a struggle think of one thing that you can do that will be productive.

5. How am I getting a workout in?
Whether it’s a long walk, an intense online workout, Swimming or using that piece of workout equipment you bought all those years ago, moving our bodies is critical for our mental stability.

6. How am I expressing my creativity?
Maybe it’s that craft, or hobby you meant to take up all those years ago or maybe it’s just sampling something new a tutorial, a recipe, a new language, or a musical instrument you always wanted to learn.

7.What am I Praising God for?
This question can be such a du we should be praising God question, yet when we put it into action and take some time to think of what and who we are grateful for it can be so life changing.

8. How am I practicing self care?
When few people are seeing you and grocery pick-up becomes norm it can be easy to stop taking care of ourselves. Fight the urge and take a shower, put on that deodorant,do your make-up try a new hairstyle, do your nails, try a facemask, take a bubble bath or whatever that self care thing might be that’s important.
